OpenCall for makers and craftspeople!

How about getting an all-paid scholarship to present your collection at Europe Handicraft Week in January 2019 in Kuwait?

Craftspeople and Makers, this is a great opportunity to showcase your work around the world! Bring visibility to your brand and become known internationally!

How?

The World Crafts Council Asia Pacific Region (WCC-APR), in collaboration with the National Council for Culture, Arts & Letters (NCCAL), hosted by the Government of Kuwait, organizing this exhibition taking place during the 25th Qurain Festival.



Makers and Craftspeople

18 makers and craftspeople will be funded by the Kuwait Government. They will exhibit and sell their work for 4-5 days during the festival.

You can submit crafts like

  • Ceramic work
  • Glasswork
  • Metalwork
  • Stone, marble etc.
  • Textiles: like weaving, embroidery, crochet, etc.
  • Jewelry
  • Woodwork
  • Leather
  • Shell
  • Others

Please, not only one participant from each country will be chosen. So submit your best work!

Is possible the participation of those not contemplated in the selection, but in this case, they will have to pay their own expenses.

What is covered?

All expenses with travel and accommodation + 25kg extra luggage for carrying items will be covered by the NCCAL. We hope you can be one of the chosen ones!

How to apply?

To apply you should send an e-mail to wcceurope@dccoi.ie with: image, title, dimensions and 250-300 word on each artisan’s work.
